According to a Global Report of Trafficking in Persons by the United Nations, the most common form of human trafficking (50%) is sexual exploitation. The victims of sexual exploitation are predominantly women. Almost 20% of trafficking victims are children.
Victims face immense trauma as well as social stigmatisation. The 2030 SDCF has partnered with a female-led grassroots organisation that focuses on supporting women and young girls back into society, which requires time, education, skill-development, and financial resources.
